How Do I Use My HookCups?
How many HookCups™ do I need?
The number of HookCups™ required depends on your boats length and weight. As a general rule of thumb we recommend the following:
0 to 30 feet: 2 Pieces (1 set)
30 to 45 feet: 3 Pieces (1.5 sets)
45 to 60 Feet: 4 Pieces (2 Sets)
Will HookCups™ work in wet conditions?
Boats are wet — we get it. So we made HookCups™ easy to connect wet or dry. For a stronger connection we recommend that the surface of the boat you connect on is flat.
Do HookCups™ Float?
While our older generation HookCups didn’t float, we’re proud to say that our continuing commitment to product improvement paid off, and our 3rd Generation HookCups™ float like champions! Watch the video here.
Will HookCups™ work in rough water and strong wakes?
Yes! HookCups™ were designed and engineered with waves and rough water in mind. Our patent pending product has a multi-directional joint that allows the product to move with the waves and your boats. Each boat can move up to 12″ above or below the other and yet the HookCups™ will remain fastened to your boat. We have seen wakes as high as 24″ hit the HookCups™ and the product remains connected to your boat!
How far does HookCups™ keep boats apart?
Fully assembled, HookCups™ will keep your boats 18″ apart.
Will HookCups™ leave a mark on my boat?
HookCups™ were designed not to leave a mark on most boats. While extremely rare, they can leave a light mark which can be removed after a quick wash.
Will the product work on Pontoon boats?
Unfortunately, HookCups™ do not work on the curvature of a pontoon boat.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this may not apply to you.
EXCHANGES & RETURNS
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please complete the form below and we will contact you with the appropriate procedure to follow. It’s important to remember that we do not refund purchases that are sent without an authorization code, so be sure to reach out prior to sending anything back to us!
When you have an authorization code to return your product, you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs unless otherwise advised by The HookCups Group Inc. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. Please note that depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
The HookCups™ return policy is 30 days from date of purchase. After 30 days there are no refunds or exchanges. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Sale items are not refundable.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
